Other Butler Schools and Academies
There are many schools and academies around the world dedicated to the training and support of our profession. We encourage prospective students to research carefully when selecting a school. Ours is a largely unregulated area of training and it is important that students feel confident that the training they will receive is current and valid for the workplace.
We suggest that students ask the following questions:
- Does the school have any formal accreditation?
- If the school claims to deliver formal accreditation, who is the authorising body?
- Does the school have a Board of Studies and/or independent audit mechanism?
- What are the qualifications of the trainers?
- How many trainers are working/have worked as butlers?
- How many graduates are currently working as butlers?
- Which employment agencies recognise the graduate certificate?
- Does the school assist in placing graduates?
- Is there a student handbook setting out rights and expectations?
- Does the school provide contact details of past graduates?
